SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of warehousing functions such as receiving incoming shipments and verifying appropriate quantity and quality, stocking shelves, scanning and posting receipts. Picks and packs orders for shipping. Completes required paperwork and updates computer files as necessary. Warehouse associate will meet individual goals and performance targets, which include but are not limited to productivity, and accuracy. Schedule may change based on business needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pick customer orders according to locations, insuring that the correct number and type of product is pulled
  • Process orders accurately/ship confirm and print CODs and shipping manifests (LTL). Accuracy will be measured by the manager with set expectations
  • Load and unload truck using lift truck, crane, and other warehouse equipment, etc.; verify count and condition of goods received/loaded
  • Open containers/pallets and separate and sort material
  • Scan and post purchase orders
  • Stock incoming materials in proper location, insuring correct number and type of product is put into stock
  • Post receipts
  • Conduct and post a daily move list
  • Access computer information related to job functions
  • Complete all paperwork relative to job function in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Overtime may be required to complete all tasks assigned by a manager/supervisor lead
  • Other duties may be assigned

ADDITONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process freight orders
  • Cross trainin other areas of the warehouse

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Basic English reading and writing skills
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in reading numbers
  • Basic computer skills; email capability
  • One year previous warehouse experience

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior lift truck experience - current certification preferred
