Class A Drivers
We are currently seeking 2 part-time Class A Drivers for our cross-docking operation in Marietta, GA. The Driver will load/unload trucks and transport material to customers in a safe, efficient and timely manner. The driver is also responsible for the vehicle and all associated equipment in the delivery process. Delivery area is within about a 3-4 hour radius of Marietta.
- Assist in loading trucks and verify count and condition of goods loaded.
- Transport and deliver material in accordance with the scheduled route.
- Unload orders as required and verify counts with customer.
- Report any overages, shortages, and damage as needed.
- Do pick-up of returns when indicated. Check if condition of material is reusable.
- Report concerns to your supervisor or customer service.
- Unload returns and other material when returning at end of run.
- Operate truck in a safe manner and report any vehicle problems to your Manager.
- Comply with all DOT standards and regulations for the size truck you are driving.
- Maintain a safe driving record.
Qualifications:
- Education - High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Maintain valid Class ‘A' CDL license certification and clean driving record.
- Operate a lift truck and maintain certification (current certification preferred).
- One year previous commercial driving experience at a Class A level.
- Experience tying down flatbeds and securing loads.
- Experience with heavy and oversize material.
- Basic reading and writing (English).
- Basic math and accuracy in reading numbers.
- Must be able to stand\walk\bend and reach.
- Must be able to lift consistently 10- 60 lb packages.
