For more than 7 years, John has served as the on-staff fabrication expert at C.H. Briggs. Interacting in the field with fabricators and top shop staffs of every size, John provides sales support and training, and warranty program support, for premium surfaces products including DuPont Corian, DuPont Zodiaq, and granite, marble and limestone natural stone products. Additionally, as a certified trainer, he regularly conducts fabrication and installation training classes for authorized fabricators in the C.H. Briggs network.
Prior to joining C.H. Briggs, John honed his technical expertise as a Market Analyst, Product Manager, and Technical Service Specialist for a leading safety products manufacturer based in Reading, PA. As manager of the Inside Sales and Technical Service Departments, he provided training and sales support, authored articles and technical briefs, and assisted with the launch of new product lines.

- Q: Why does a shop need to be certified to fabricate Corian residentially?
- A: Residential installations carry a 10 year installed warranty. Both DuPont and C.H. Briggs financially support the warranty. DuPont wants to ensure that the product is fabricated and installed to the most current specifications to prevent warranty claims. This is accomplished by requiring individuals working in the shop to be trained and the company to be certified.
- Q: Are there any specific requirements for installation of food service for Corian or Zodiaq?
- A: Yes, these requirements are outlined in the Zodiaq Food Service Bulletin and the Corian Fabrication manual. This information can also be obtained by attending the training sessions for Commercial Food Service installation.
