To support a broad base of A&D and Facility Accounts within a defined metro area, the Specification Associates basic function is to supply superior customer support of our premium surfacing offering (DuPont Corian® solid surface and DuPont Zodiaq® quartz surface, ALYN and “Solutions Based Offerings” )  updating and maintaining samples and library updates in assigned territory.   General responsibilities involve specification support via library updates and sample requests. 


Customer Set

  • Commercial end use accounts, Commercial Architects & Designers
  • Will support approximately 400 accounts 

Library updates:

  • Strengthen and develop personal and professional customer relations through personal contact in timely manner as directed by the Commercial Sales Manager.   Service assigned territory on a continual basis to ensure libraries are updated and DuPont samples are optimized.
  • Increase knowledge of products and marketing programs so as to better serve prospects and customers.
  • Increases knowledge of competitive landscape to optimize opportunities for the DuPont products.

Customer Service

  • Fulfill sample requests, update libraries, execute color and product launches 
  • Deliver CEU presentations as directed by the Sales Manager

Sales Liaison

  • Keep supervisor and or Sales Consultant informed of new opportunities, competitive activity, product development needs, and pricing practices.
  • Actively participate as member of the sales team by sharing best practices and creative selling ideas. Engage in open communication so as to seek and receive advice, information, and assistance. 
  • Prepare required reports and administrative activity accurately and completely so as to effectively provide information as requested in accordance with established procedures and timelines.


  • Specification representative experience or related industry experience
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs


  • Four year college degree required
