- Q: The state that I live in requires that my adhesive be OTC compliant. What OTC compliant adhesive do you have available?
- A: We have adhesive from both 3M and Conbond that will meet the OTC regulations. The 3M 94 CA, Fast Bond 30 (water-based) and the 98NF will work well. The Conbond line of OTC compliant products include 5800, C690, Z100 (water-based), 3498M and C284M. All these products are currently being used successfully by C.H. Briggs customers.
- Q: What soft-close undermount slides do you recommend and carry?
- A: C.H. Briggs has soft-close undermount slides from various vendors such as Grass, Salice and Knape & Vogt. The undermount slide we've most recently introduced is the MuV by Knape & Vogt. This innovative slide features a roller cassette that keeps the drawer from sagging when building an inset drawer. This slide also comes in a wide range of sizes which enables you to maximize the cabinet's depth.
- Q: How many concealed hinges should I use on a large door?
- A: The number of hinges depends on the size and weight of the door. Up to 36" - 2 hinges are needed; 37" to 60" - 3 hinges are needed; 61" to 84" - 4 hinges are needed; 85" to 98" - 5 hinges are needed. *This recommendation is based on a door with a maximum width of 24".
