Wood Products Sales Manager
Bob has been with C.H. Briggs for more than 5 years, and has served in a variety of wood-focused roles, including Sales Manager, Product Manager, and Product Specialist. He is one of C.H. Briggs’ resident experts on board and panel products. Bob’s particular expertise with green products has enabled him to help many cabinet and fixture manufacturers, millwork houses, and architecture and design firms coordinate and manage board and panel purchases in conjunction with LEED projects.
Prior to joining C.H. Briggs, Bob managed the Philadelphia sales territory for several hardwood plywood distributors, beginning with Allied Plywood and including Atlantic Plywood before the acquisition of two locations by C.H. Briggs. Before moving into sales and product management, Bob managed Purchasing for Display Corporation of America, a large fixture, millwork, and tradeshow manufacturer near Philadelphia. Earlier in his career Bob ran a retail lumberyard and managed inside sales for a building materials wholesaler. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University.

- Q: When purchasing Beadboard, what is the difference between a V bead and a Standard Bead?
- A: When you are looking at the edge of the board, the wood comes to a V as it goes into the bead on the V bead. With a Standard Bead it goes into a square as it goes into the bead.
- Q: I have a job that calls for MDF with a specific color of laminate on one side and a backer on the other; does C.H. Briggs have this product?
- A: Yes, C.H. Briggs offers custom laminated panels, or laid-up panels. We can create panels up to 5’ x 12’ in size with your choice of either high-pressure laminate or wood veneer (20mil and thicker) on the substrate of your preference (1/4” to 1” thickness).
- Q: Does C. H. Briggs offer panels with better than an A face?
- A: Our Briggs Select Hardwood Plywood offering features a premium HPVA grade face, which exceeds a standard A grade in appearance and characteristics. Select grade veneer measures 1/42” thick.
