About C.H. Briggs

Doing Business with Briggs. It's all about your satisfaction and success.

At C.H. Briggs, service, quality and customer satisfaction are our highest priorities. Please use the links below to review our credit and service policies, each of which is designed to make it easy to do business with us and provide you with the personal attention you need and deserve.

Credit Overview for New Customers

C.H. Briggs maintains a firm but fair credit policy. By keeping bad debt to a minimum, we do not penalize our customers with higher prices caused by the cost of maintaining and pursuing delinquent accounts.

New customers can begin to transact business with C.H. Briggs immediately by using a credit card. Credit card purchases are recommended because of the immediate benefits of convenience, speed, and efficiency. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Credit card only customers should complete our online Credit Card Only Account Application.

New customers and customers whose accounts have been inactive for 12 months requesting an open account must complete the Line of Credit Application in its entirety and return the signed disclosure statement portion to our Credit Department. Written notice of account status and related account information will be provided once a credit decision is made.

All invoices show payment terms and conditions of sale, with standard net terms being 30 days. Customer statements are generally sent out on a monthly basis. Unless otherwise indicated, prices do not include any taxes, including sales, use or excise taxes. However, C.H. Briggs will collect sales tax for material shipped into states where it is licensed to do so (refer to the credit application). It is the customer's responsibility to furnish evidence of any sales tax exemption in the appropriate states and have compliance documents, where applicable, on file at C.H. Briggs.

Past due accounts (with amounts unpaid 30 days past invoice date) will be subject to finance charges up to the highest amount allowable under state law. Accounts that do not comply with payment terms may be changed from open status to credit card or C.O.D. status. C.H. Briggs reserves the right to hold orders placed by any account showing past due balances, and to require advance payment for any special orders or unusual circumstances.

Credit Application Process

In the interest of customer convenience and speed, we prefer that all applications be submitted through our website. For applicants who do not have Internet, please call our Credit Department Monday through Friday at 1-800-355-0800, extension 137. Regardless of how you apply, you will be required to provide information on your trade and bank references to complete the application process. If applying for an open line of credit, please remember to print, sign and return the disclosure statement. This document must be faxed back to our Credit Department at fax# (610) 921-4832.

Upon the completion of our evaluation, C.H. Briggs will confirm with the applicant in writing the terms of sale and related customer number that has been established and activated for use. C.H. Briggs welcomes the opportunity to serve you!
