Light Up Atlanta Exhibition Featuring Incredible Corian® Sculptures
C.H. Briggs commissioned the placement of 7 Corian® sculptural pieces - some illuminated - in several of Atlanta's busiest MARTA stations.
Local architects and designers paid homage to Atlanta with glowing art installations! Light Up Atlanta was a unique exhibition that featured designs by members of the local architecture and design community made entirely of DuPont™ Corian®. Each designer created an illuminated, sculptural piece reflective of how the city of Atlanta inspires them. The innovative designs displayed in several of the city's busiest MARTA stations showcased the possibilities of Corian®, a durable and flexible solid surface material that has broad appeal and myriad applications among architects and designers. The designers were chosen because of their accomplishments in the field of design, as well as their personal histories in Atlanta. C.H. Briggs and MARTA aimed to showcase the talents of the local design community in a city with a reputation for cultivating art of all kinds.
Hot-lanta Fan
"Hot-lanta Fan" is a southern heat-inspired melting fan made of DuPont Corian. Designed by Ted Freeman of Creatometry and fabricated by Top South, Inc.
Life - Flame - Rising
Atlanta is always changing. Its symbolism with the phoenix and the idea of movement led to this sculptural single flame. Designed by Lisa Lin of Stanley Beaman and Sears Architecture and fabricated by MacLaren Fabrication.
Pealing Back the Heart
Atlanta is the heart and soul of the south and offers a place for everyone. Designed by Shelly-Anne Tulia Scott of Leo A Daly and fabricated by Easy Care Countertops.

The inspiration for "Seed Bench" came from the experience of moving to Atlanta as a young creative and its likening to the germination of a seed. Designed by Kellen Minor of tvsdesign and fabricated by Atlanta Kitchen, Inc.
Whirling Dervish
The "Whirling Dervish" combines the beauty of the constant motion and activity in Atlanta with a familiar and ever changing form. Designed by Jim Ferguson of Hendrick, Inc., and fabricated by MacLaren Fabrication.
