Founded in 1965, Mitchell Associates is a multi-disciplined design consulting firm offering expertise in Interior Architectural Design, Space Planning, Environmental Graphic Design and Donor Recognition. Owned by Louis B. Rosenberg, William Endicott, Erik Dressler, Robert Agosta, Patti Damiri, John Raftery, Vicky Newton, & Eric Schmitt, Mitchell Associates has evolved from its original vision of architectural interior design to now encompassing the full spectrum of aesthetic design services. This Wilmington, Delaware-based firm serves the eastern United States as well as Texas. They operate in a 15,000 sq. ft. office space plus a 4,800 sq. ft. fabrication shop. Their main architectural & interior design focus is on institutional and commercial buildings in subdivisions that include banking, computer services, corporate, educational, entertainment/restaurant, governmental, healthcare, legal and transportation to name a few.  Their environmental graphic design focus includes architectural, corporate communications, donor recognition, exhibit, interior & exterior signage and wayfinding. A natural overlap between these specialties enables cross utilization from a staff with varied technical disciplines.

They have taken advantage of the space, exhibits and educational seminars available and thought the studio was very helpful, innovative and informative.

Working on over a hundred of projects each year, Mitchell Associates is most proud of the New Delaware Welcome Center and Travel Plaza on I-95 as well as the Ronald McDonald Family Room (shown left) located at Christiana Care in Newark Delaware which caters to parents of children who are being treated in the adjacent Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit. On a national basis they were recently awarded the Wayfinding and Signage design contract for the new Parkland Health and Hospital System replacement facility in Dallas Texas as well as Donor Recognition design and fabrication for the North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital System.

Active members of American Institute of Architects, American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers, International Interior Design Association, International Facility Management Association, Society for Environmental Graphic Design and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Mitchell Associates strives to stay on top of industry ideas and trends including sustainable building. With eight LEED AP Certified Architects and Designers on staff, the "green" movement has helped open doors for them.
